Central Oregon will host a seven-week (eight session) course on Wednesdays (5:30-7:00PM) for individuals wanting to quit tobacco use.
About this Event


Central Oregon Regional Public Health will host a free online American Lung Association’s Freedom from Smoking tobacco cessation group program.

Quitting isn’t easy—but it’s easier with the right help. This virtual seven week (eight sessions) tobacco cessation program beginning on October 2st will be led by a trained facilitator and gives you options, resources and support to quit for good! The program will be held via Zoom on Wednesdays through November 13th, as well as on Friday, October 25th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. (The Zoom link will be sent out via email).

Topics that will be covered in this program:

  • How to know if you’re really ready to quit
  • FDA-approved cessation medications that can increase your success
  • Lifestyle changes to make quitting easier
  • How to prepare for your quit day
  • How to stay tobacco-free for good
