Ken Dunn was 2,000 miles into the backpacking trip of a lifetime when it became clear that his next career chapter would be about more than just professional success—it would be about helping others find their connection with nature. As an ex-executive and tech professional, Ken brings a unique blend of experience, including over eight years of personal recovery, mentoring others, and founding a recovery meeting.

Studying under Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, Ken is a mindfulness meditation teacher in the insight meditation tradition. His life and coaching are infused with mindfulness, compassion and curiosity.

As founder and lead recovery coach of Expedition Recovery, he’s committed to leading clients on their own journeys of self-discovery. Ken is a Certified Peer Support Specialist, Certified Recovery Specialist, Certified Wilderness First Responder, and Certified Adventure Recovery Coach.

Ken brings resilience, discipline, and a deep sense of purpose to his work, guiding others toward meaningful and transformative experiences in recovery.
