Freedom Fighters and Intellectuals: Celebrating Malcolm X and Frantz Fanon

The year 2025 marks the centenary of the birth of Black intellectuals and freedom fighters Malcolm X and Frantz Fanon. Vilified in life and greatly misunderstood after their deaths, this conference presents an opportunity to examine the intellectual and activist aspects of their work for the liberation of Black people throughout the world. Dr. Lewis Gordon of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Connecticut will present the keynote address.
