Freedom Fest is the City of Hilliard’s free annual event celebrating Independence Day with nationally known artists Big & Rich, Alexis Gomez, and Harper Grace. Attendees enjoy food trucks, swimming, a Kid Zone, concerts, and a spectacular fireworks show at dusk. Spend the day with us at Municipal Park and ring in freedom with the City of Hilliard!

Entertainment

During Freedom Fest, the main stage will have entertainment beginning at 5:15 p.m. Admission to these concerts is free, and tickets are not required for musical entertainment.

To keep things safe and fun, please follow these guidelines.

  • Seating is first come, first served.
  • Set up personal items ( e.g., chairs, blankets, etc.) not part of the prohibited list may be used to reserve a seating area.
  • Personal items may be set up beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 4.

National Anthem

The National Anthem will be performed by Hilliard Davidson High School student Cinna Carter.

Kid Zone

Kids will have a blast at Freedom Fest with SuperGames. They’ll have plenty of activities for the kids, ages pre-school and older, to play from 5 – 9 p.m. The weight limit for the games is 250 pounds.

To participate in activities, you will need a Kid Zone wristband. The wristband pre-sale goes through July 1 at the Community Center, 3800 Veterans Memorial Drive. Only credit and checks are accepted during the pre-sale, costing $8 per wristband.

A limited number of wristbands can be purchased during Freedom Fest with cash only for $10 starting at 4 p.m. ATMs will be available near the Kid Zone.

All wristbands are non-refundable.

Food Trucks

Enjoy delicious food from many food trucks at Freedom Fest. The food trucks and Grandad’s Pizza will be available from 3 – 11 p.m. To learn about all the food trucks coming to Freedom Fest, visit the Street Food Finder page. You can download the Street Food Finder app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to get dietary information, menus, and more on the food trucks.

The HOSA parking lot is closed.

As you leave the park after the fireworks, keep in mind that Scioto Darby Road will be shut down from Main Street to Leppert Road at 9:30 p.m. to keep traffic flowing.
