It's a great time to celebrate FREEDOM AND AMERICA with a unique event. Everyone's done 5k, 10k, halves, and/or full marathons.. DEKA's and Spartan races -- all of them hard and all of them very rewarding. So this 4th of July we decided to do something very different. Instead of going long, grueling, we thought we'd give everyone a taste of the extreme -- and with it being America's birthday we couldn't think of a better holiday to roll this one out.
The actual event is very short in distance, yet brutally hard and painful just about the entire way thru. It's simply ONE MILE (slightly more for open and competitive divisions).
EVENT DETAILS: you cover the distance doing 400m of the following 4 exercises: burpee broad jump, bear crawl, lunge walk, run. This is going to be for the ELITE division. For Advanced, Competitive, and Open we decided to break them into 4 rounds of a specified distance.
ELITE:
400m of each exercise, in order, non-stop
ADVANCED:
100m of each exercise x 4 rounds. In some sense this almost seems harder than the elite division. We're honestly not even sure lol.
COMPETITIVE:
75m of each exercise x 4 rounds.
OPEN:
50m of each exercise x 4 rounds.
Lastly we will also be offering an alternative option as a brutal 3 x 4000m indoor race on ski, row, bike, mayyyyybe throw in a 100c echo bike as well. Details on that option are still be hammered out but just FYI...
