A 2.5 hour workshop of Somatics , Slow Flow & Yin Yoga, where we will be bringing awareness to the spine through a combination of active and passive poses. The first part of the workshop will focus on meditation and pranayama and gently introducing Somatic movements to release tension and bringing balance to the spine.
From there we will transition to the Yang part of the workshop where we will be moving through a Slow Vinyasa Flow Practice - it will still be mindful, but we will also bring a bit of heat into the body, moving the spine in all directions. Forward bends, twists, side bends and back bends will be incorporated to the sequence. For the 3rd part of the workshop we will be moving to the floor for the cool down Yin part of the practice. Yin moves slowly; we hold the poses for a longer period of time, connecting deeply into the body. We will finish with a long relaxation calming the body and the mind.
