About this Event
This week's class will be taught by Fatima Mathews (@fatima_yogi), a registered yoga instructor and herbalist.
The classes are taught on a wooden platform behind our gardens. It's under the trees, covered by a tent, and is often breezy and cool, which can be really lovely in the summer months. Please bring your own mat (though we do have a few to lend.)
Marvin Gaye Urban Farm is a communal garden that is overseen by Washington Parks & People and is volunteer-run. Anyone can come to the garden any Wednesday or Saturday from 10-2, work for a few hours, and go home with whatever we harvest.
In the summer, when our production is highest, we hold a Free Farm Market on Saturdays to give our greens and vegetables away to the community. In addition to providing healthy fresh produce, we offer wellness events such as yoga, herbal instruction, cooking, etc.
