Backyard or Worm Composting Workshop - Choose your own adventure!
</h4><h4>The class will be held on Saturday, September 7th from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM.</h4>
The presentation part is led by the knowledgeable volunteers from The Master Gardeners of Napa County. You will learn how to reduce and eliminate yard trimmings, incorporate organics, and turn it all into wonderfully rich, compost for your garden!
- Discover the basics of hot and cool composting, composting with worms and grasscycling.
- Become familiar with tools and types of bins
- Learn the ins and outs of recycling yard trimmings, garden waste, and food scraps.
- Curious about Grasscycling? Grass clippings release valuable nutrients back into the soil.
At the conclusion of the workshop, you may choose to purchase a discounted backyard compost bin for $20.00 (One bin per household) OR Build your own worm composting bin with everything you'll need to succeed- Including the worms! (One worm bin per family please, however everyone can help assemble!)
Pre-registration is required, and space is limited, so please RSVP to reserve your spot!
