The Cass County Domestic Violence, Task Force is pleased to announce we are sponsoring another free self-defense class for women and teenage girls instructed by Joel Blanton (Logansport Jiu-Jitsu) and Travis Yike (Logansport Police Department Chief of Police).This class offers a unique style to self-defense; teaching mental skills, situational awareness and boundary setting as well as physical techniques, such as strikes and leverage, in order to build confidence in our young women and adult women of all ages. They can tailor their techniques to fit any possible disabilities you might have as well, so please do not let that stop you from signing up. We will help you cultivate a survival mindset to feel more confident and empowered, and to reduce feelings of vulnerability.
The spots are limited and the only way to register is by texting “self defense class” with your full name and number of women you would like to register as well as their full names to 574-722-2119. You may also send us a message on Facebook messenger or Instagram to register as well. We look forward to another year of building confidence in our local women of Cass County, and bringing awareness to domestic violence.
