FREE Winter Collage Workshop: Coorie in this winter, at the Walled Garden
Join us for a hands-on collage making workshop, set in the beautiful surroundings of our historic walled garden. Open to both adults and children, this creative and relaxing workshop invites you to celebrate the beauty of the season while connecting with nature and the heritage of the garden.
Working with artist Hannah Ayre, we will be creating nature themed collages. Using a variety of paper based, printed materials, such as gardening magazines, seed packets and seed catalogues.
Hannah with pose the question What does nature mean to you? You will be encouraged to reflect on this prompt, to create your own personal response.
What to Expect:
- Connect with Nature: Immerse yourself in the beauty of our walled garden, learning about its historical connection with wellbeing.
- Relax and Unwind: Explore the calming and meditative process of collage creation, perfect for promoting mindfulness and boosting wellbeing.
- Suitable for All Ages: Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just want to try something new, this workshop is designed for all skill levels, making it a perfect activity for families, friends, and individuals alike.
- A souvenir to take home: Each participant will receive some materials to take home to continue your collaging journey.
Wear warm clothing. Weather permitting, we will take a short walk in the garden, before heading indoors to create our designs.
Although this event is free for attendees, it's not free for us. This workshop is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Please let us know if you are no long able to attend so we can open up your space for someone else, and make the most of our restricted funds!
