Did you know that you can forage at the beach? The California shore offers a very unqiue selection of both land and sea vegetables. Unlike land fauna, you can take what you learn from this class and apply it to just about anywhere you go along the California coast. We will be learning about both edible land and sea vegetables in this class that are found all over Southern California. Learning how to feed yourself from what is growing all around you is one of the most empowering things you can do in these unpredictable times. Fortuntately, it doesn't matter whether you live at the beach or in the desert, there is plenty of food for everyone. It is simply a matter of knowing what to eat and how to eat it. We will be discussing 10-15 plants that can be used for both food and medicinal purposes. This class is the 3rd in a series of 3. There is no order to the classes. You can take the classes in any order you choose. Each class will simply discuss different plants. My hope is that by the end of each class, you will be able to confidently identify and use the plants discussed. This class is friendly for all levels of plant enthusiasts whether you're an expert or a novice. If you've ever wanted to expand your understanding of how you can make the most out of what is naturally available to you, this is the class for you!
*This beach foraging class will not feature any kind of animals/sea life. Only plants will be discussed.
