Our first volunteer tutor training this season is for the Caring Grands Program. This FREE training helps you help kids in first and second grades learn to read. Tutors spend just 30 minutes a week per student, aside from tutor training. We also have monthly tutor talks, where we have classes and workshops, and tutors can share their stories and experiences with each other. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone looking to make a real difference in the lives of students. It's so easy for them to fall behind, and studies show that kids who learn to read to the third grade level do better in school overall.
Be sure to look for our upcoming training for Adult and Youth tutors as well. Sometimes even older kids and adults need help.
