About this Event
Join this festive game design workshop and create two exciting Christmas-themed games!
First, young people will code Santa Claus—or their own hero—to fly through the skies, dodging obstacles and defeating enemies. Next, they’ll design a collection game where elves race against the clock to gather gifts for Santa’s big delivery.
Once their games are complete, they’ll have the chance to share them with the world! Participants can publish their creations, play them at home, and even challenge friends and family to epic gaming showdowns.
No prior experience is required for any activity, and all equipment will be provided by us. Our friendly tutors will be there to support you every step of the way.
Who can get involved?
This workshop is for young people who match the following criteria:
- 10-16 year olds
- A Halton resident
- Eligible for benefits-related free school meals
Places can be given to young people on EHC or Support Plans, but they are not guaranteed. Priority will be given to young people who are eligible for free school meals.

Friday 27th December, 10 am - 2 pm.

Grangeway Community Centre, Grangeway, Runcorn, WA7 5HA
How much does it cost?
This project is funded by Halton Borough Council and the Department for Education for young people from Halton who are eligible for free school meals, therefore it is free to attend.
What equipment should I bring?
Digital Arts Box will bring all of the equipment needed to participate in this session.
