Kick off 2026 with Future-Ready Skills for Young People in Toowoomba & the Darling DownsDo you know a young person aged 12–18 who’s curious about technology, gaming, or virtual reality looking to build confidence and practical skills?
This January, Concinnity is delivering free, intensive two-day VR workshops at Cobb+Co Museum. The program is designed to support young people through hands-on virtual world-building and exposure to future STEM pathways.
🌟What participants will experience?
- Learn how to design and create their own virtual worlds.
- Build a simple virtual environment featuring elements such as birds or insects, linking creativity with science and ecosystems
- Use real VR headsets and current technology.
- Build digital creativity, confidence, and awareness of STEM careers.
- Learn in a supportive, inclusive environment with experienced mentors and peers.
🌱Skills students will gain
This hands-on program develops real, future-ready skills, including:
- 3D modelling and virtual design
- Creative problem-solving and digital literacy
- STEM career awareness and exposure
- Critical thinking and self-confidence
The workshops are led by Robert Keannalley, CEO and Founder of Aquatic Metaverse Pty Ltd, who brings extensive experience in VR, education, and technology-driven learning, with a strong focus on engaging young people through creative and meaningful virtual environments.

**Priority places are available for young migrants and refugees living in Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.
🎟️ Important information for families
Lunch is not provided. A café is available on site for purchasing food if needed. Breaks will be provided throughout the day as required.
