Residential Wood Framing is a 40-hour introductory training which covers wall layout for wood framing using 16 and 24 inch O.C. layout, design placement and use of wall framing, and door and window components. Conventional gable roof framing techniques are also covered for wood rafters, ceiling joists, lookouts, barge rafters, and roof sheathing.This training opportunity is designed to provide participants with an experiential understanding of a career in the construction trades and to enhance participants' abilities to gain employment or enter an apprenticeship within the industrial trades.
