Ironwork & Welding is a 40-hour introductory training with classroom instruction and hands-on experience including; Vertical and horizontal stick welding, oxygen and acetylene cutting, hands-on tools and materials, hazard awareness, and work site safety. Identify and use safe welding practices, identify joint design and fit-up, set up a welding machine, and identify electrode selection. Participants learn basic rebar wire tying and reinforcing practices.
This FREE, HANDS-ON training opportunity is designed to provide participants with an experiential understanding of a career in the construction trades and to enhance participants' abilities to gain employment within the construction industry.
