Intro to Welding Fabrication is a 40-hour introductory training that covers the techniques used in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment. Participants will learn/practice the safe process of oxy-acetylene cutting and arc welding as well as the proper use of tools and job site safety.This FREE, HANDS-ON training opportunity is designed to provide participants with an experiential understanding of a career in the construction trades and to enhance participants' abilities to gain employment within the construction industry.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS for all Heavy Equipment Operators/Mechanic/Service Oilers/Intro to Welding Fabrication Classes
The following documents are required along with this application; priority for selection will be given to those who have turned in everything before selections are made.
1. Copy of birth certificate.
2. Copy of high school diploma or GED certificate.
3. High school transcripts or GED scores.
4. Copy of social security card.
5. Copy of DD214 (Veterans only).
6. Copy of valid driver’s license (must be Alaska driver’s license by start of training).
7. Optional/Recommended: resume, trade school certificates, college transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.
- Space is limited.
- Participants must be available for the full 40 hours of training
- Applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview if space is still available in the training(s) they have applied to.
- All applicants must participate in the interview process in order to be considered for final placement in training.
