About this Event
Since its founding in 1916, The Arts Club of Washington has called 2017 I Street, N.W. , “home.” Join us on a guided tour of the historic clubhouse to learn more about the Arts Club, its activities and the distinguished men and women who have been members. We will also discuss some of the fabled residents of the two mansions the Club now occupies, including President James Monroe and his First Lady Elizabeth, and Civil War General Robert MacFeely. Space is limited to 12.
While the tour of this historic circa-1802 structure includes sections which are not ADA-accessible, all are welcome to join us and accommodations will be made where possible. Suitable for children 12 and older.
Nearest Metro: Foggy Bottom or Farragut West (Orange, Silver, Blue lines).
The tour is free; a $10 no-show fee will be charged to your Eventbrite account.
