“Free to Be Me”: A Panel Discussion to Celebrate South Asian Heritage Month in Islington
Come join us at Islington Town Hall with the Mayor of Islington, Cllr Anjna Khurana for an engaging panel discussion to celebrate South Asian Heritage Month!
The theme of South Asian Heritage Month this year is ‘Free to be Me’ and the panel discussion will focus on this theme.
In the words of the South Asian Heritage Month founders, this event aims to provide a platform to ‘celebrate the diverse experiences of being of South Asian heritage, sharing similarities and honouring differences’, and to celebrate the enormous contribution the South Asian community makes to life in Islington.
Joining the Mayor on the panel will be Councillors, Council Officers, and leaders of partner organisations who are of South Asian heritage.
This event is free to attend, but owing to strict capacity limitations, you must register for a ticket in order to gain entry.
The panel discussion will take place in the Council Chamber at Islington Town Hall and will be followed by light vegetarian refreshments.
If you have any queries, please contact the Mayor’s Office [email protected]
