This month's FREE COMMUNITY MEAL on November 18th will hold special meaning as the Ayla Vonne Memorial Dinner. Everyone is welcome to break bread in peace and friendship. Ayla Vonne was born with Trisomy 18 to her loving parents, Leanne Highway and Ahmed Saied, and was the cherished granddaughter of Sheila Rashid, Turk Siddiq, Yvonne Highway, and Jerry Merasty. Though she is no longer with us, her name — Ayla Vonne — echoes the words “I live on.” Her spirit, love, and precious memories continue to live on in our hearts every day.
We’ll be gathering to honour her life and the light she brought into ours, sharing a comforting meal of fried chicken, mac and cheese, eggplant stuffing, bannock, and veggies, followed by desserts and giveaway bags for the kids as we remember our sweet Ayla with love. ❤️
