FREE Outdoor Concert! Experience the powerhouse vocals of LaRhonda Steele—known as “The First Lady of Portland Blues.” A celebrated gospel, blues, and soul artist, LaRhonda’s deep musical roots trace back to her upbringing in Spencer, Oklahoma, where she began singing in church at 13 and leading choirs by 15. Influenced by her evangelist grandfather and her mother’s gospel quartet, her music is rich with the spirit of traditional Black gospel and steeped in soul.
