- blood pressure check
- physical examination
- electrocardiogram, or ECG

Specialists have carried out more than 21,000 heart checks for students since the program began in 2007.
At Ferndale High School, heart health goes beyond numbers and statistics. This year’s event is held in memory of Mario Campbell, a track athlete who passed away from cardiac arrest in 2013.
