About this Event
Join us for a free community class led by Joshua, a dedicated Body & Brain student who is sharing his spirit while growing his teaching skills. This class is open to all levels—whether you’re brand new to mindful movement or looking to deepen your practice.
In this session, you’ll experience:
- Body Tapping to stimulate circulation and activate energy flow
- Gentle Stretching to awaken your body and release tension
- Energy-Balancing Qigong (Tai Chi is a branch of qigong) to build strength, balance, and focus
- Guided Meditation to calm the mind and restore inner peace
At Body & Brain, our style draws more from Qigong than traditional yoga. Qigong is an ancient mind-body practice rooted in Eastern tradition that combines breathing, gentle movement, and focused intention to circulate life energy (“Qi”) throughout the body. This practice helps improve circulation, reduce stress, and promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Regular attendance is welcome! If you'd like to deepen your experience and receive some tailored guidance, you can register for an intro session with the center's managers, Meghan, Chris, or Kay.

Joshua has been a Body & Brain practitioner since May of 2024. His calm and bright spirit makes for a supportive guide into your first classes. As an artist, his creativity will pour into the classroom, helping you enjoy every movement. As a regular practitioner, his steady commitment to his own practice will help you feel grounded, supported, and able to cultivate a relaxed focus and concentration.
