MEET DOMINIC GLOVER: Dominic Glover’s journey as an artist began like that of many others: with an idea that he brought to life. Since 2013, Dominic has worked as a professional illustrator and graphic designer, creating works that have been published and licensed by renowned companies such as Marvel Entertainment, Lucasfilm, DC Comics, Warner Brothers, Tezuka Productions, Hulu, Netflix and many more. In recent years, he has been featured as an artist at various Anime and Comic Conventions, including the Middle East Film and Comic Convention in Dubai, New York Comic Con, Anime Boston, and Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California. Throughout his career, Dominic has maintained a focus on creating art that brings people together. Each of his art pieces serves as a bridge, connecting individuals from different backgrounds and all walks of life. It allows people to create new connections by fostering a deeper appreciation of the extraordinary world of the art and culture that brings us all together.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION (FAQ):
HOW DO I GET MY FREE PRINT? Tag a friend on Instagram or SHARE the event on your Facebook timeline or Instagram pg by June 22nd. When you check in at the event, simply use your phone to show us you shared the event & you will be given your choice of a free 9"x12" print. Limit 1 Free Print per individual who shared Event. Artist will not sign free prints.
IS PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED? Due to encounters of theft, attempts in converting the art via A.I. and/or unauthorized reproduction (bootlegging) of the artwork, our artists request no photography of the art at the event. Out of respect for the artists, this rule is strictly enforced. Photography of cosplayers and the event itself is allowed and in an effort to share images with friends, all Amazing staff members would be happy to take a photo of the art for you in a manner where it cannot be reproduced so easily - just ask.
WHAT WILL THE ARTIST DO? Dominic Glover will be signing any of his artwork purchased at the show. For any canvases purchased, Dominic will also add paint hand embellishments/highlights to the canvas, essentially turning it into its own, one of a kind original, at no additional charge. This is a huge added bonus & service which Disney artists charge $250 for, but it's complimentary at the show as a means of the artist thanking you for supporting their art.
WHAT DO I GET WITH THE $15 VIP TICKET? VIP ticket holders will receive a specialty 12"x16" print of their choice (valued at $40) + a free 9"x12" print at the door + 30 minute early access to the event prior to opening the doors to the public. IS THIS EVENT COMPLETELY FREE? Yes, no purchase whatsoever is necessary. $15 VIP ticket is completely optional.
ARE KIDS ALLOWED? This event is 100% Kid & Stroller Friendly!
IS THERE ANY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (A.I.) ART AT THIS EVENT? Absolutely NOT! All our art sold on our website and featured at our show was created by human hands and all made in the USA. We do not believe A.I. art is actually art and we stay firm with that decision.
DO I HAVE TO COSPLAY TO ATTEND THE EVENT? No. Cosplaying is completely voluntary.
WHERE DO I PARK? Free parking at the Doubletree Hotel.
WHY ARE THERE MULTIPLE EVENTS ON FACEBOOK DISPLAYING A SIMILAR ART EVENT WITH THE SAME DATES AND LOCATIONS? Yes, these are all the same event! Facebook limits the amount of characters we can type in an event title. Since our event encompasses: Anime, Game Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Disney, Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter, Horror & Lord of the Rings, this is simply too long to put into an event title. To make it easier and in order to reach fans of each theme, we have created separate events for these themes but it is all the same event.
IS AMAZING ART EXPO ACCEPTING ANY ARTISTS OR VENDORS? We do not have vendors at this event. If you are an artist interested in working with us, we ask you to email john@amazingartexpo with images of your work (website, Etsy, social media is fine). Please note, we do not consider any submissions using any form of A.I.
WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES FOR THE COSPLAY CONTEST? Monsters, princesses, princes, superheroes, Jedi, wizards, witches and even muggles of all ages are encouraged to attend and may be introduced to the crowd with a particular theme song to their costume/character. Cosplayers who meet the following criteria listed below will qualify for the Cosplay Contest.
1st PLACE PRIZE: Receives a $150 Gift Certificate for the Amazing Art Expo.
2nd PLACE PRIZE: Receives a $90 Gift Certificate for the Amazing Art Expo.
3rd PLACE PRIZE: Receives a $70 Gift Certificate.
PROFESSIONAL COSPLAYERS (INFLUENCERS) may qualify to receive a free display table to promote their brand(s) in exchange for coming to and promoting the event. Please email [email protected] for details.
1.) PLEASE REGISTER by emailing [email protected] with your name and character/costume you plan to wear including a photo of your character or your social media/website if possible?
2.) AGE LIMITATIONS: All ages are applicable to win.
3.) COSTUMES must be creative. Simply wearing a hat, shirt, sweatshirt, etc. does not qualify for the competition. Costumes must be at least 50% handmade or more. Costumes should be tasteful and not be deemed offensive. The barest minimum of body coverage would be that of a bikini.
4.) WEAPONS: All operational shooting weapons and/or sharp objects are absolutely forbidden. Non-firing toy weapons are allowed. Act responsibly and use caution when carrying, yielding, displaying large props. Any simulation of props, such as light saber battles, may be allowed if granted permission beforehand by an Amazing Art Expo crew member and if conducted in an open area free of bystanders.
5.) PHOTOS: Cosplayers should volunteer to pose for photos with guests at no charge. Please do so in an open area so you are not blocking aisles or product displays. You are welcome to ask any Amazing Art Expo employee suggestions for such areas.
6.) REQUIRED TIME TO BE PRESENT: Cosplayers must be present and interactive with guests at the event for a minimum of 60 minutes total to qualify.
7.) Contestants may participate all three days but are not eligible to win more than once with the same costume. Members of the 501st Legion are not eligible for the contest.
