PLACES ARE STRICTLY LIMITED! SIGN UP TO ATTEND USING THE TICKETS LINK A 2-hour workshop run by one of our experienced sound technicians that will explore the use of sound within theatre productions.
Objectives:
1. To demystify the seemingly black art of what happens on the sound desk in a production. Encouraging it to be seen as almost a member of the cast that helps to enhance the storytelling and immerse our audiences.
2. Having demystified some of it to then encourage you to step up to get involved in this area in the future.
We will start out understanding better what sound is and how it works on the brain. That will be followed by a practical exercise in designing soundscapes and identifying how these can be used. In the second half we will move on to look at some of the tools of the trade including mixers, PC software and some practical exercises and actually mixing sound effects.
Refreshments will be provided.
