In collaboration with Lilly Dermatology, UP Health System – Marquette will offer a free skin cancer screening clinic from 9 am – 1 pm on Saturday, May 18, Suite 10, Medical Office Building at the Cancer Center. Skin cancer screening is used to detect cancer at an early stage, which is when the chance of a cure is high. Doctors may recommend this type of cancer screening for people who have a higher risk for skin cancer, including people who have many moles, irregular moles, or a personal or family history of skin cancer.
During a skin exam, a provider checks the skin for moles, birthmarks, or other pigmented areas that look abnormal in color, size, shape, or texture. Registration is required.
