SIU Credit Union plans to host several free shredding events throughout 2024, including another visit to our Harrisburg branch! These events allow individuals to bring up to 50 pounds of personal documents to be shredded on-site for free. We will also be accepting donations of non-perishable food items to donate to one of our local food pantries.
All people bringing items to shred must stay in their cars to keep traffic flow moving.
Examples of items that can be brought for shredding:
• Credit Union / Bank Statements and Old Checks
• Medical & Insurance Forms
• Anything with your Social Security number on it
• Retired Tax Forms (over 3 years old)
• Credit Card Statements
