Set sail for an evening of nautical adventure this Free Second Monday! Commemorate the 50th anniversary of the sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald with fascinating tales, hands-on activities, and plenty of nautical fun. Kick things off the night with a tour through our brand-new interactive exhibit, All Hands On Deck: Life Aboard The Georgian Bay Line. Then chart a course to our History Gallery to meet special guests from the Michigan Shipwreck Research Association. Local authors Valerie van Heest, Craig Rich, and Neel Zoss will also be onsite for a book signing, offering a chance to meet the storytellers behind some of the Great Lakes’ most compelling shipwreck tales. End the night in Spark!Lab with nautical-themed activities and crafts. This free, family-friendly evening is the perfect way to dive into Great Lakes history—no life jacket required!
