Starring Clive Owen and Julianne Moore, Alfonso Cuarón's excellent 2006 sci-fi is set in our now very near future of 2027. In a dystopian world, British society is breaking down: mankind has become infertile, authoritarianism is on the rise and despair fills the air. But when a young woman becomes pregnant with the first child in years, a jaded activist must transport her safely out of the country to a sanctuary at sea.
This free screening will be followed by a Q&A on 'Super-diversity' with experts: Dr. Alan Desmond (School of Law) and Aleks Palanac (Head of Sanctuary) from the University of Leicester.
