The MTS Submarine Committee and the World Submarine Organization (WSO), in partnership with the Submersible Operators Group (SOG), proudly present the 22nd Annual Submarine Symposium, set to take place at the Spanish Oceanographic Institute in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands. This year marks a significant milestone, as the symposium moves to an international stage for the first time, aligning with a long-term vision to rotate the event between America, Europe, and Asia.
This four-day event will bring together leading experts, industry stakeholders, regulators, and innovators to discuss advancements in submarine technology, safety regulations, and operational best practices. Attendees will gain valuable insights through technical presentations, collaborative discussions, and networking opportunities with professionals from across the globe.

- SOG 2025 – A specialized two-day forum dedicated to submersible operators, manufacturers, and classification bodies. This gathering will provide a platform for sharing expertise, discussing operational challenges, and advancing safety standards through collaborative workshops and industry panels.
- WSO Flag State Meeting – A closed-door session bringing together international port and maritime authorities to work toward a unified classification system for small submarines and submersibles. This initiative aims to enhance global safety regulations, streamline recognition and evaluation of submersibles, and foster regulatory harmonization across borders. - MTS Annual Submarine Symposium – The flagship conference for the global submarine industry, dedicated to human-occupied vehicle technologies, research expeditions, regulatory developments, and the latest advancements in submersible engineering. Featuring cutting-edge technical papers and expert-led discussions, this symposium welcomes professionals from all sectors, including exploration, leisure, research, military, and security.
- Future Needs for US Navy Submarine Rescue Capabilities – Next generation SRDRS: The US Navy will present a two hour overview of its future needs for submarine rescue capabilities in support of the Next Generation SRDRS effort. The US Navy wishes to present its efforts and requirements in advance and hold meetings with interested vendors to discuss ideas, capabilities and interests.
