Inspired by Anne Billeter’s June presentation about Jean Maack and the collection of material from Jean’s research that is now at the RVGS library, Jeanne Hoadley has been exploring surnames from her family tree looking for matches. While less than 10% of the surnames were from the same family, those that were included in Jean’s research led to new information and resources not previously considered. Jeanne will share some of her finds and some challenges in adhering to the Genealogy Proof Standard when using other people’s research.
