Free Poi workshop at Silo Park
To celebrate Te Matatini Festival happening in Auckland 22-25 Feb join us for a free fun workshop at Silo Park where you'll learn to make your very own unique set of Poi to take home.
Come and share in the beautiful Māori culture and the history of the Poi. DIY Poi Packs will be provided with all the materials and guidance along the way. A great activity for all the whānau and tamariki.
Nau mai haere mai!
Please note:
-These workshops will take place before our Silo cinema events (Everything Everywhere All At Once 10 Feb rated R13, and Thor: Love & Thunder Fri 17 Feb, rated M)
-There will be food trucks onsite, a DJ playing and wooden games to play with too.
-If the workshop is too busy when you arrive, please queue patiently for a spot to come available, or play some games / eat some kai until some spots open up.
-Workshops are free & suitable for children, and will run 5pm-8pm (subject to weather & stock of poi materials).
-The Silo Cinema screenings will commence at 9pm after the workshops finish, and are rated M and R13, so may not be suitable for younger audiences, we ask you to use your own discretion with this.
