About this Event
Enjoying a continuous harvest of the vegetables you most want from the garden takes real planning! Certain vegetables need to be planted more than one time each season in order to provide a sustained harvest, and 'succession planting' is the key to reaping that harvest!
July is a great time to think about Succession Planting in your vegetable garden. Come learn about why and how to do it at this hands-on class at the Portland Edible Gardens .
During this class we will discuss which crops are best planted as successions, planting methods and tips for success with these vegetables, and how to plan for a continuous harvest in your garden.
We will talk details about lettuce, basil, cilantro, dill, beans, carrots, beets, and more!
All classes at the Demonstration Garden are FREE and All Are Welcome!
If you have the means to add a donation, your contribution will go directly to local non-profits dedicated to supporting home vegetable gardeners, food access and food security in our community.
