The course is suited to people aged 16-24 looking to develop their participatory arts practice through lecture-based and practical learning.
About this Event

Fri 2nd & Sat 3rd August from 10am - 5pm at the Boardwalk in Glasgow.
The PASC programme is tailored to equip learners with the relevant skills, knowledge and understanding required to work collaboratively and proficiently within a range of participatory settings, using the arts as a catalyst for positive social change.


Free of charge thanks to the National Lottery Young Start Fund.


The course is suited to young people aged 16-24 hoping to develop their practice and apply their arts specialism in areas including, but not limited to, communities, criminal justice, education, health, social care and youth work.
Learn how to create accessible and engaging workshops, evaluation technique, the fundamentals of fundraising and budgeting, and the health benefits of participatory arts.

When signing up, you will be asked to complete a Registration Form so that we know how to best support you. Completing this is mandatory and will take between 10 -20 minutes. We will also send you a course handbook prior to the course starting to give a clear idea of the content and structure of each day.

If you sign up but can no longer make it along, please let us know as soon as possible in adance so that we can re-allocate your space as these courses are often fully booked. Thank you.

Venue Information

The Boardwalk is a multipurpose arts building which hosts a number of different arts events and activities. This event will be held in the Silver and Black rooms which are wheelchair accessible. Please let us know if you require access support prior to the event so that we can arrange this with the building manager.

Please let us know how we can make the training sessions accessible for you by contacting us at [email protected]. Things we have supported with in the past include things like BSL interpretation and travel expenses, however we are very happy to discuss your individual needs.

Getting Here

The venue is accessible by public transport with the closest underground station being Buchanan Street or trains station being Argyle Street, High Street or Glasgow Queen Street. There are a range of bus services which also stop near the venue including the 75, 6 and 7.

There is on street parking near the venue which requires payment via metres or the ring go app. The nearest car park is NCP Ingram Street. There are also bike stands outside the venue.
