Who is it for?
Parents or caregivers, teenagers up to 16 years, with specific concerns about their child’s behavior or who are interested in general information about promoting their child’s healthy development.
What is covered?
In this workshop, parents are given an appropriate age range for children to use social media, give tips on how to best utilize social media & apps as a tool/resource, and identify ways to keep children safe while operating online.
Parents are given specific ideas about teaching their teenagers the following skills:
• Being confident.
• Being socially skilled.
• Teaching responsibility.
• Increased communication.
• Develop a sense of self.
• Access to information.
