Join your Community for a “Rockin Good Time” at this Art Event! ?I am bringing 50 painted rocks and hiding them around the playground & painted frog area at City Park in Fort Collins, Colorado.
?If you want to find painted rocks from COLORADO ART MOM, please meet me at 10:00am at the entrance to the City Park Pool.
?The Rock Hunt will start at 10:05am!
?I anticipate most of the rocks will be found within 10-15 minutes.
?I will stay until 11am for meet and greet.
?This is a completely FREE event, donations are accepted for art supplies & future rock hunts.
?If you find more than one rock, please keep only the ONE you like the best and REHIDE the others. I want to make sure everyone who comes has the chance to find a painted stone and in the past attendees have been really nice in sharing and trading so that everyone leaves happy.
?Yes, adults can keep a rock too but please only people who attend the event may take a rock, do not take an extra home to a family member who didn’t come.
Please consider bringing your own painted rocks and ...
1. “Hiding them” - Set somewhere it can be seen but is not obvious. Remember you want someone to find it, so think Easter egg hunt.
2. “Trading them” - Ask a friend or fellow rocker if they have a rock they want to trade for one of yours.
3. “Gifting them” - (my favorite) Give a painted rock away to anyone for no reason at all. Say I have a gift for you and hand them your beautiful art!
Painted rocks should be sprayed with a clear spray paint or polyurethane to prevent ware and protect against weather.
?This is an all ages family event, please stay with your children while rock hunting and playing at public parks.
