As part of the Washington State Paint Stewardship Program (PaintCare), the City of Kent is now hosting dedicated Paint Only Recycle Events. These events provide a safe, convenient way for residents to properly dispose of leftover paint.While paint is no longer accepted at our regular mini recycling events, these new events will accept any amount of eligible products in original containers (5 gallons or less), including:
Interior and exterior paints (latex, oil-based, acrylic, etc.)
Primers, sealers, stains, and varnishes
Deck, floor, metal, and field paints
Please note: No other household hazardous waste will be accepted. Staff may refuse any non-program products.
Looking to recycle sooner?
Paint can also be dropped off locally 7 days a week.
