Bay of Plenty Symphonia would like to invite orchestral musicians of all ages to a Free Open Rehearsal on 11 September 2025. A chance to dust off your instrument, connect with other musicians and make music together in a relaxed setting.Open to young and old, present, past and potential future players. Everyone is welcome, although a grade 5 standard is recommended. No registration needed - just turn up on the night.
We will play through some of the repertoire for our final concert of the year: Lilburn's Aotearoa Overture and Sibelius' Symphony No. 1.
The evening will be conducted by our brand new Music Director and conductor for our November programme, Michael Joel.
Bring your instrument, a plate to share if you can, a drink if you like (tea and coffee provided) and good attitude.
