Free Nutrition 101 Workshop hosted at Bedford Health Center

IN-PERSON Workshops

Nutrition 101 classes in the community provide introductory-level information about nutrition and healthy eating habits, as well as focusing on practical applications like meal planning, understanding food labels, and making informed food choices!

Participants are highly encouraged to use their new knowledge from the workshop at our Farmer's Market after class! The Campaign Against Hunger will be outside our Bedford Office with their Fresh Vibes Truck filled with fresh fruits and veggies for community members to purchase, using vouchers, SNAP benefits, cash, etc.

The Bureau of Brooklyn Neighborhood Health makes connecting to programs and services more efficient by providing a one-stop shop for community residents. Our clinical partners also offer primary care services. The Action Centers are part of the City's effort to promote health equity and reduce health disparities in the neighborhood.
