Non-native invasive plants destroy native wildflower and plant habitat. Winter is the best time to ID and remove these unwanted pest plants and make room for beneficial native plants. @SpiritTreeFarms is in the SE corner of the Chickamauga Battlefield. For FREE, we're having a invasive plant ID and removal party. Learn tips and tricks to not only ID Chinese Privet, Bradford pears, Amur Honeysuckle, and Cherokee Rose, but also how to effectively remove them.
This event is free, but please PM us to register and get directions to the farm (space is limited to a dozen people. Please bring gloves, shovels, and hand pruning tools IF you have them.) Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10:30 until about 1 p.m. (had to change the date to Feb.)
