About this Event

Neurodiverse Me (Individuals with a diagnosis/Individuals on a waiting list for a Neurodiverse diagnosis)

Funded for 19+ Criteria apply Community Learning Partnership (Somerset Council)

A psycho-social education course designed by neurodiverse individuals to provide a structure for exploring our neurodiverse selves. Using our CATS model we have developed a process where we can explore the areas of our lives where neurodiversity may be having a significant impact.

These stages offer resources, self-exploration and opportunities to explore skills to enable us to accept the things we can change. To find the skills to change the things we can change and to accept those we can’t change.

There are 3 stages to this course:

Stage 1

Introduction to Neurodiversity CATS Communication/Anxiety & Behaviours/Thinking Processes/Sensory Processing

Stage 2 The Resources & Strategies including our R’s handbook.

Stage 3 Discovering our skillsets Reasonable Adjustments – identification and scripts for requesting them This course has the addition of how to notice and capture how your neurodiversity impacts you and ways which support you in sharing information to inform diagnosis.

Format 2-hour sessions each week for 4 weeks starting the 28th of November 2024, finishing on December 19th 2024.
