About this Event
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a training program the teaches individuals how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. It provides skills to offer initial help and support to someone experiencing a mental health crisis or developing a mental health problem until professional help is available. The training covers common mental health challenges, crisis situations, and promote early intervention to improve recovery outcomes.
Taught by Jennifer Jentzsch, certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor, certified Peer Wellness Specialist, and certified Community Health Worker, with Good Shepherd's ConneXions Program.
