Crow Wing County Minnesota Seniors, are you looking to make mealtime a breeze? Convenience meets comfort with delicious frozen meals designed to cater to your nutritional needs, providing a hassle-free and satisfying dining experience.
The monthly frozen meals are free and available to all Crow Wing County residents over 60. Distribution is in the parking lot of Salem Lutheran Church, located at 21276 Archibald Road in Deerwood.
Seniors will receive pre-packaged bags of 10 frozen meals during this drive-through, no-contact distribution. Each senior may receive up to 30 meals in a month. The meals are healthy and nutritious and meet one-third of a senior's recommended daily dietary allowance. They are packaged in microwave and oven-safe containers and are easy to heat and eat.
There is no fee for the meals; however, you can contribute. The program is partially funded under a contract with the Central Minnesota Council on Aging as part of the Older Americans Act and administered by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Saint Cloud.
