Come join us for a FREE screening and Q&A of the locally-filmed, Emmy Award-winning documentary Teacher of Patience. Over 20 years after Emily Felter is diagnosed with Down syndrome, Porter County paramedic (and Emily's father) Tom develops a presentation to share her story with other first responders. As the Felters work to raise disability awareness, they come face-to-face with the struggles and joys of their daily lives.
Watch the trailer and learn more at www.teacherofpatience.com.
This free event includes a 30-minute film screening and a Q&A with the film stars. There will be free food and drinks as well.
A special thanks to our sponsors, the Valparaiso Lions Club and Porter County Sheriff's Office Jeff Balon. And a huge thanks to Joe Arroyo of Edward Jones for organizing this event.
Please RSVP by selecting "going" on this Facebook event, or email Joe at [email protected] (this is to help us get an accurate head count for food and drinks).
