Welcome to our Anniversary Month Live Music Series!
Sheila Landis has been voted "Outstanding Jazz Vocalist" seven times by the Detroit Music Awards. Landis does her most adventurous work adding hand-percussion and "beat-boxing" to the mix, accompanied by Oakland University 1986 Music Performance Graduate Rick Matle. Rick plays a 7-string guitar, demonstrating harmonic sophistication and agile fretboard finesse delivering chords, bass notes and inventive solos. Landis and Matle have developed the perfect footprint for fluidity, flux and funkiness in a musical partnership of over 30 years of recording and performing "live".
