Slow to Moderate Pace / Fairly Flat
The walk is run by a volunteer walk leader who is full of interesting information about the local area. The canalside walk heads along the Grand Union Canal from Havelock Road Southall towards Glade Lane Canalside Park passing part of the Hanwell Flight of Locks. The walk then goes into the park and then returns canalside. Everyone is welcome.
This is a weekly walk, but you are also very welcome to join as a one off. You only need to register once - please register for the first date you will join the walk.
Unfortunately we are unable to welcome your furry friends this time. But please do look out for other events where dogs would be most welcome!
GETTING HERE
The E5 bus from Southall Train station brings you to the start of the walk.
WHAT TO WEAR
The great thing about walking is that you do not need any fancy equipment. Please just wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket if raining or water if it is hot.
