EVENT INFORMATION
Why not come along and walk, get active, make new friends on one of our walk leader led walks. All you need to do is book in on this free walking session.
These sessions are designed as an introduction to walking and are easy grade along our amazing towpaths. Learn a bit of history or see some awesome wildlife which is around every turn on our waterways.
We will meet at 10.00am at the canal car park, Fordgate, TA7 0AR.
The What3Words location reference is: places.dates.woof.
(Please note, that if you put Fordgate, Somerset or Chapel Road, Fordgate into your SatNav, it will bring you over the railway bridge at Fordgate; continue down towards the canal, turn left and the car park is 50 metres on the left).
This walk will take us across open farmland and wheat fields via public footpaths, to Standards Lock. From there, we will return to Fordgate along the canal towpath.
The walk is just over 3 miles long and we expect to be back at the car park by 1.00pm.
There are no toilet facilities on this walk, and it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Well behaved dogs, under control & on leads are welcome.
