Landfill customers will be able to clean up their properties and dispose of the unwanted materials for free. The Gering Landfill will be open Saturday, April 26th from 7:00 AM to 12:00 noon.The FREE LANDFILL DAY is for landfill customers ONLY, which includes residents from the City of Gering and the City of Scottsbluff.
Customers will be required to present a utility bill with a matching driver’s license to dump their trash at the landfill. Customers will only be allowed to dump a standard size pickup box (4' x 8') or a 8' trailer load of garbage. Please make sure your trailer or pickup box is covered. The city reserves the right to accept or reject any load.
The landfill will accept 4 tires without rims per customer. They will also accept two appliances (washer, dryer, refrigerator, deep freeze, water heater, furnace, and air conditioner) per resident. Appliances with freon must be evacuated.
