Join us for City of Water Day - Free and Fun! This exciting event is all about celebrating the beauty and importance of water in our city. We are giving away free reusable water bottles (while supplies last, one per household).
YPRC is hosting a coastal clean-up and offering free kayaking. All equipment is provided. Drop by any time between 11-2pm to take part of this wonderful family friendly event!
- Garbage accumulates around the shores of Yonkers and it often gets trapped in the rocks. Gloves, trash pickers, trash bags will be provided and we encourage all volunteers to bring sunscreen, a hat, and water.
- Explore and enjoy the Hudson River with free kayaking. Waivers must be signed before getting on the water. Sign one now to expedite the process. This event is weather dependent and subject to cancelation or rescheduling if weather, tide, or water conditions are deemed unsafe by YPRC.
Dozens of communities across all five boroughs, Westchester and Rockland counties, and New Jersey will host events on and near the water that celebrate the importance of a resilient and equitably shared waterfront. These events offer community members opportunities for fun, education, and access to their local waterfront.
