About this Event
English Country Dance began as a combination of formal court dance and folk dance in the 1500s. It became wildly popular throughout Europe through the 1700s. It was revived starting in 1899. New dances continue to be devised to this day.
Please be a bit early to be ready for the beginner lesson at 6:30.
The regulars will join us for the dance at 7:00 (your first dance is free). Everything is taught, and beginners are welcome even without the beginner lesson. We will partner you with experienced dancers.
Enter through the doors in the middle of the east side of the building.
No lead or follow roles. You don't need to bring a partner.
Dress is casual. Wear flat, soft-soled shoes and comfortable clothes.
Please avoid perfume and scented grooming products.
